Despite the constant complaints about iPhone reception, it looks like Apple is sticking with AT&T. The company's new tablet device, the iPad, will come with two data plans for AT&T's 3G network.

While I groaned when I first heard the news (and I doubt I was the only one), it looks like Apple has negotiated a really good deal with AT&T. The iPad is unlocked and doesn't require a long-term contract, which means you don't have to go with AT&T if you don't want to. But the mobile carrier's pricing is hard to resist: $14.99 for 250 megabytes and $29.99 for unlimited data, plus free access at AT&T's WiFi hotspots.

The news adds some context to Apple Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook's defense of AT&T on Monday. Meanwhile, the company says it's in talks with international carriers and should have deals in place by June.
