Cloud Sherpas appoints new CEO -- The Google Apps solutions provider has chosen Jon Hallett as its new chief executive officer. He was formerly executive chairman at Northbridge Systems, which provided enterprise collaboration tools.
Movie Gallery files for second bankruptcy -- The operator of game-rental retail outlets has decided to shutter in response to its second bankruptcy in two years, closing down 2,415 Movie Gallery, Hollywood Video and Game Crazy locations across the U.S. and laying off 19,000 employees.

eSolar eyes hybrid solar biomass technology in China -- Idealab's Bill Gross told Earth2Tech that portfolio company eSolar, which specializes in solar thermal developments, will be building two gigawatts' worth of power stations in China, with the support of the country's government.
