Enterprise AI solution provider Cohere is bringing Command R+ to Hugging Face's open-source AI chatbot HuggingChat. Hugging Face Chief Technology Officer Julien Chaumond announced Cohere's powerful large language model (LLM) is "on fast optimized inference on Hugging Face [infrastructure]."

Command R+ launched less than a week ago to make smarter real-world business applications. It's an evolution of its predecessor, Command R, and features better performance, multilingual support and advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capabilities. Since then, Cohere has brought the LLM to Amazon Sagemaker and Microsoft Azure.

HuggingChat is Hugging Face's equivalent of OpenAI's ChatGPT. It can generate text summaries, essays, letters and more. However, unlike its competition, HuggingChat enables users to select which LLM they wish to use, such as Mixtral 8x7B, Gemma 1.1, Nous Hermes 2 and Mistral-7B. Now, Command R+ joins the list.

This addition is significant because it helps HuggingChat to differentiate itself further. It supports many big open-source models, including one that beat OpenAI's GPT4 in the Chatbot Arena. Moreover, because Command R+ is enterprise-focused, it may motivate some developers to incorporate Hugging Face's technology for their business needs.
