GeekChicDaily wants to be associated with everything cool. So it's announcing a partnership with the Chris Hardwick's Nerdist Industries.

The equity partnership brings together nerds and geeks through two media companies focused on pop culture. The deal shows what happens when someone builds a personal brand and turns it into a media machine, as Hardwick (pictured) has done.

GeekChicDaily, founded by Peter Levin, publishes newsletters on geek topics such as games, film, toys, comics, and tech. It was founded by digital media veteran Peter Levin and Wizard Entertainment founder Gareb Shamus, a comic show operator.

Hardwick's Nerdist Industries includes the popular blog Nerdist.com; a top five comedy/pop culture podcast on iTunes; and a Twitter account with 1.4 million fans. The Nerdist recently sold a TV show to BBC America and was named one of the 140 most-influential brands on Twitter. Its upcoming book "The Nerdist Way" will be published on Nov. 1 by the Penguin Group.

Nerdist Industries is also producing the animated pilot Hard N Phirm’s Musical Time Hole at IFC.

“What Chris has created with the Nerdist brand and voice maps incredibly well onto our aspirations for the business,” said GeekChicDaily angel investor and board member Peter Guber. “His authenticity with this audience is genuine and undeniable.”

GeekChicDaily’s investors and partners include Legendary Pictures, Joe Roth, Peter Guber, Bob Pittman, Seattle venture capitalist Mike Slade, Machinima CEO Allen DeBevoise and Japanese media juggernaut Yoshimoto Kogyo.

“I envision a Nerdtopia where video games are free, Cheetos are currency, and robot concubines sate our sexual thirsts. I am confident that Peter Levin, his brain-trust of genius partners and their combined business acumen will provide the infrastructure to help me accomplish this,” said Chris Hardwick, founder of Nerdist Industries.
