Aniboom, which has thousands of animators who post videos on its network, will make animations based on the popular mobile phone games made by I-play, owned by New York-based Oberon Media.
The first series under development through the partnership is based on I-play’s popular game, “Turbo Subs” (pictured above), which has achieved millions of downloads since it debuted at the beginning of 2008 as the sequel to the international casual game hit, “Turbo Pizza.”
Aniboom will tap its network of independent animators to create videos based on the game for mobile, online and television. The company is in the midst of closing a new round of funding.
