Dogpatch Labs, the "frathouse for geeks" run by Polaris Ventures, is welcoming a new batch of companies to its Cambridge, Mass. office.
There's not an official start date for the group, since companies have been moving in for the past couple of weeks, and should be all settled by the end of the month, according to Dogpatch's Jonathan Lim. But Dogpatch recently expanded the Cambridge office and just shared an almost-complete list of the companies (minus a few that are in stealth mode), which I'm republishing here.
Dogpatch Labs isn't a traditional incubator, but rather a set of cool offices in San Francisco, New York, and Cambridge where entrepreneurs can rent desk space -- no Polaris investment required. It recently unveiled a list of new San Francisco companies, too.
Here's the Cambridge list:
- Baydin adds intelligence to email clients. Baydin’s Gmail and Outlook plugins make it easier to manage email and find expertise inside companies.
- Energesis Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company developing therapeutics for obesity and metabolic diseases that target brown fat. The company’s approach is to increase the body’s ability to burn fat.

- MyHomeTownLink brings hometowns together by connecting helpful students with parents looking for help around the house (babysitting, tutoring, pet sitting, yard work, etc.). Unlike any other sites of its kind, MyHometownLink will allow members to see how their friends connect them to other members in their network.
- OsComp Systems has developed a new compression technology that reduces initial and operating costs for natural gas producers. OsComp’s initial product, “WellSpar”, is designed to enhance the productivity of natural gas wells by deliquifying efficiently and cost-effectively. Future planned applications of the technology are for CNG-refueling as well as on pipeline stations and offshore platforms.
- RelayRides is the world’s first person-to-person car-sharing service.
- Relay Technology Management was founded by two Ph.D. Candidates at Tufts School of Medicine. Relay has developed a software platform, the Innovation Engine, which takes an analytical approach to facilitating technology transfer between academia and biotech/pharma.

- Tivli uses a new, highly scalable, bandwidth-efficient Internet video broadcast technology to stream live HDTV from major network TV providers directly to your laptop in real time. With only an Internet connection, users can watch live, local over-the-air television for free and subscribe directly to live premium content providers like Comedy Central or HBO for a fee, using an iTunes-like marketplace.
- Zodah helps you simplify the frustrating task of managing upcoming bills with tools to track, archive and compare your bills.
