The people at iFixit have been up all night. Two iFixit people flew to Australia to get the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus early, then they flew home and started tearing the phones apart, said iFixit's Scott Dingle.

The team started tearing down the phones at 3PM Thursday. They finished at dawn on Friday, as people around the country lined up to buy the new phones.

They started with the iPhone 6, with its 4.7-inch screen. This is what they saw.
