If you’re thinking about launching your company’s new product at DEMO, the leading conference for emerging technology, consider applying for a special pitch session this Thursday with one of New York's respected venture capital groups, Village Ventures.

On May 20, we’ll be meeting with up to five companies at the Carlton Hotel in Manhattan (88 Madison Avenue at 29th Street).  Each company will be given five minutes to present to the DEMO team, several partners from Village Ventures and representatives from each of the 17 venture funds in their network.

Whether you’re contemplating a launch at the upcoming DEMO, held September 13-15 in Silicon Valley, or at a later DEMO event, the session will give you a great opportunity to meet with myself (I’m DEMO Executive Producer and am in charge of selecting DEMO’s class of companies) and other key members of the DEMO team. While each company will only get five minutes to present, myself and Village Ventures' Bo Peabody will solicit feedback from the room, and I'll personally offer more detailed feedback after the event is over.

This upcoming DEMO is going to rock; it's the first time ever DEMO has taken place in Silicon Valley, and we're traveling the world to find the best companies to come present. I'm headed to Europe and Asia at the end of this week. More announcements to come.

If you’re interested in presenting at this NYC gathering, please fill out this form. If you're selected as one of the five, we'll get in touch with you immediately to provide instructions. (We'll make our final decisions by Wednesday morning, and so you'll hear from us no later than then). The pitches will take place about 5 pm, and Village Ventures has agreed to keep the information off-record for those companies wanting to remain quiet about their product until launch.

The session is just the latest in a series of informal DEMO gatherings we've announced recently at some of the best VC firms around the country.

To be clear, if you’re interested in applying to DEMO, you don’t necessarily have to attend any of these events. You can always apply directly here. The early deadline is May 31. This DEMO is going to be big. Press registrations are already filling up, and we’re going to have more announcements soon. People wanting to attend can still get an early bird ticket for $995.

Look forward to seeing some of you in New York this week!
