Friday is finally here, dear readers, and we once again bring our signature roundup of the big news from the week. Only this time, we did it while decked out in footie pajamas, velour tracksuits, and a couple Snuggies.
Yes, we had our first-ever VentureBeat pajama party, and it happened to fall on the day we shoot VB Weekly. You'll get to see some of your favorite writers in their jam-jams, and you just might learn something, too. Aww.
Here's the rundown:
- OMG MARS!
- Poor, poor Mat Honan. We'd hate to be in his hacked shoes.
- And speaking of hacked, you might want to change your Blizzard password, gamer nerd.
- A lot of people were impressed about Starbucks' new deal with Square. Not us, apparently.
- Mr. Marissa Mayer (real name: Zachary Bogue) just launched a VC fund for big data. You go, gi... Uh, you go, sir.
That's all for this week; August is our slow season. The newsmakers are probably off getting fabulous tans and drinking drinks with tiny umbrellas in them. But hey, their loss; they missed the pajama party!
