Earlier this month we were honored to be listed by VentureBeat as one of the top 10 mobile advertising companies. As the post mentioned, there is a lot of change going on in the mobile economy, which means it is sometimes difficult to make sense of this fragmented and complex landscape.

Today, we are launching a survey to spotlight the marketing specialists that we believe are smack in the middle of it all – the mobile app marketer – to help shed light on best practices and strategies.

In a couple of weeks, we are hosting a discussion at MobileBeat 2013, where panelists will discuss current mobile app user acquisition challenges and share best practices. However, we also know acquisition is not the totality of a mobile app marketer’s responsibilities. A mobile app marketer is really responsible for the growth of a company’s bottom line.

The Mobile App Marketing Survey

The mobile app marketer is one of the fastest growing job descriptions in today’s marketing world, especially as more companies are taking a mobile-first approach to their business. Because the role is still evolving, you as a mobile app marketer might think you are blazing the trail on your own … but in reality you are not alone.

We’ve found that unlike other aspects of marketing, where there are clear processes, methodologies and metrics in place, mobile app marketers don’t have those benchmarks to verify where they are winning and where they can improve. The results of this survey will identify the responsibilities, activities, and challenges that mobile app marketers face on a daily basis.

All survey answers will remain anonymous, and survey participants will receive a full report with our findings. In addition to being the first to receive the full report, participants will also be entered to win an iPad or a $500 American Express gift card.

P.S. As a reader excited about mobile advertising, we would also like to invite you to our Postback event happening July 25-July 26 in Seattle. The mission behind the event is to host a forum that brings together experts and innovators involved in performance advertising for mobile. We will discuss the state of the industry, share best practices, most importantly network to grow business.

This is going to be an incredible event with some of the smartest people in user acquisition, publishing, and performance advertising. See the list of speakers here.

We hope you can be a part of it!
