Google has learned the art of the tease well from Apple.
The colorful search and mobile giant just sent out press invites for a July 24 press event with Sundar Pichai, who leads Google’s Android and Chrome teams.
The last time we saw Sundar Pichai, he was announcing that Google had hit 900 million Android activations at Google’s I/O developer conference. At the time, he warned us that more was coming:
“There are seven billion people on earth,” he said, hinting that Android had a long way to go.
It’s not clear what the news conference is for, but it’s likely to be something much more consumer-oriented — perhaps more information about the release of the next version of Android. In addition, since Pichai also heads up the Chrome group, it could be news about Chrome or Chromebooks.
The event has a livecast, so everyone can participate — even if they can’t eat the breakfast Google is promising.
