Amazon is testing a service in Japan that lets shoppers snap a cameraphone photo of a product’s bar code and then compare its price online at Amazon.com. It’s not quite what John Battelle envisioned here, but it’s getting there. (via TechDirt and others)
For the inner geek: Blog Torrent, which builds on the bittorrent technology and allows people to easily publish large multimedia files to their blogs. From the site: “Making it easy to blog large video files means that people can share their home movies the same way they share their photos or writings. It lets people create vast networks of truly peer-to-peer video content– video that was made by individuals and shared with individuals, no bandwidth budget or distribution deal needed.
