We’ve been following the Microsoft-Claria story pretty closely.

We reported how Microsoft’s antispyware program is now recommending that users ignore the presence of Redwood City-based Claria’s adware product on their PCs, whereas previously it recommended removal. Now Microsoft responds to concerns about this, and as our former colleague Dan Gillmor points out, it is not a very helpful explanation.
