The number of venture capital firms in Silicon Valley dedicating money to clean technology companies continues to grow.

Now Noventi has raised $30 million of planned $100 milliion total, according to VentureWire today (sub required).

Earlier this week, Sigma announced its first investment in the sector (into a solar company named Solaria).

Noventi, a Menlo Park, Calif.-based firm launched in 2002, was the management company of CIR Ventures, a fund sponsored by CIR Group, an Italian industrial holding company. Sorgenia is a Milan-based energy company and part of the CIR Group’s holdings.
