ChipX, a Santa Clara, Calif. provider of application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) products, said it has agreed to buy the ASIC assets of Oki Semiconductor Company, a division of Oki America Inc..

ChipX and Oki Semiconductor said they’d also agreed to let ChipX collaborate with Oki on use of Oki’s technology, libraries and foundry services.
The transaction amount was undisclosed.
Privately held ChipX was restarted three years ago with a $12 million injection from a group of investors including Elron Electronic Industries, Needham Capital Partners, Newlight Associates, Parker Price Venture Capital, UMC Capital, VantagePoint Venture Partners and Wasserstein Venture Capital. It raised more money last year.
