LimeLife, a Menlo Park, Calif. company that publishes mobile content for women, said it has raised $3.9 million in a second round funding
The funding was by Core Capital Partners, and continues a wave of funding in the online content business targeting women. The company raised $5 million in an earlier round. However, it isn’t clear how the company plans to distinguish itself from the mass of other content providers emerging in this area. From Glam, to Sugar Publishing, the content world for professional women is quite vibrant, and there’s nothing stopping these competitors from going mobile too.
Here’s the company’s statement.

Rachael Ray joins other brand-name media such as Time, Inc.’s In Style magazine as exclusive content sources for LimeLife. The company will shortly announce additional instantly recognizable women-oriented content to its lineup.
