Box really wants to get developers to build on top of its technology. Today, at the end of the 2015 Box Dev conference, Box founder and chief executive teased money — the ultimate incentive — for those developers who play along.
Bessemer Venture Partners and Emergence Capital, both of which backed Box when it was still a privately held company, are each contributing $20 million, for a total of $40 million.
San Francisco-based startup Zirx is looking to fulfill the desire for parking felt keenly by an increasing number of frustrated car owners. It announced today that it has closed a new round of $30 million to help further that aim.
SimpliLearn raises $15M in third round
San Francisco-based education technology company SimpliLearn has picked up $15 million in a Series C round led by Mayfair, with participation from Kalaari Capital and Helion Venture Partners. This round brings the company’s total capital raised to $27 million. The company provides training and certification courses for professionals, such as IT pros, and employs a network over more than 2,000 trainers.

Deep Information Sciences announced it has closed $8 million in Series A funding. The company makes a high-performance database engine for speeding up databases’ ability to manage large volumes of data, called Deep Engine. The round was led by Sigma Prime Ventures and Stage 1 Ventures, and included AlphaPrime Ventures. Although this was described as a first round, the company had actually raised $10 million previously, so its total raised now stands at $18 million. Deep Information Services is based in Boston.

Enterprise social platform Honey is announcing some sweet news today: a $1 million seed round.
The new funding, from Point Nine Capital, is Honey’s first outside money. It will be used for growing the company’s engineering, customer success, and support teams.
