Apple just announced a new video discovery service for Apple TVs, and the company is boldly calling it “TV.”
Woah! Apple just invented television.
The new service enables Apple TV owners to search for video content across apps with Siri. It’s launching in December.
“It’s going to completely change how we watch television,” Apple TV senior designer Jennifer Folds said on stage during the company’s Mac event. Here’s a closer look at the new service.
While Apple announced “TV” today, previous reports from USA Today and Recode had already revealed the new Apple TV service, which is reportedly a compromised version of Apple’s original goal: to launch a paid TV service.
The latest version of Apple’s TV streaming box launched almost exactly one year ago.
