AI for healthcare developer analyticsMD, the startup behind software that takes “messy healthcare data and processes it in real time,” announced today that it has taken in a $13 million investment.

Led by Northwest Venture Partners and Mayfield, and followed by Y-Combinator and the Stanford-StartX Fund, the funding round will help fuel analyticsMD’s “product development and expand go-to-market efforts,” the company said.

“The analyticsMD solution has the potential to improve patient safety and increase hospital efficiency,” said Norwest Venture partner Robert Mittendorff. “Through the application of AI technology, the behavior and decisions of hospital providers and workers can be nudged in real time.”

The company was founded in 2011 by Brent Newhouse, Mudit Garg, and Ian Christopher and has its headquarters in Mountain View, Calif.
