Android creator raises $242M for new fund alongside hardware incubator

News broke that Andy Rubin has raised at least $242 million for a new fund, in addition to the $48 million he had already raised for his (not yet launched) hardware incubator.

Me Girl developer raises $1M to expand its girl-gaming lineup

Developer Frenzoo announced that it has secured $1 million in its most recent funding round. The studio, which is responsible for the popular Me Girl apps that target girls and women, is also releasing a hub game called MeTropolis that enables characters and stories from three various Me releases to interact with one another. Mobile gaming is a $30 billion business, and it has grown that large because so many different kinds of people are into playing on their phones and tablets.
