Netflix today announced an update to its website, introducing a "new instant search tool" which quickly serves up search results as users type in a query.
The tool mirrors Google's own instant search tool, but actually feels faster; granted, Netflix doesn't have to scan the entire Web to serve up results, but the speed is noteworthy and almost jarring upon first use. The feature is apparently rolling out to all users now.
Here's a look at the new search results page, which displays relevant movies in large a grid below the search bar and lists related people (actors, directors, and creators) on the left.

According to Netflix:
At Netflix we’re always thinking about ways to improve the user experience. Starting today, we are rolling out a new search experience on the website. With the new instant search tool, you’ll get faster and easier access to your favorite movies, TV shows and actors.
With today's update, Netflix also introduced a new way to promote its house-made content. Now when you search "Netflix," the site will serve up a full list of Netflix-made shows.
