Today's a pretty big day for Spotify.
At a press event in New York, the company revealed a few new bells and whistles for us to play with. Most interestingly, the company is moving beyond music; soon Spotify will start streaming video clips and podcasts.
Spotify also announced what it's calling the "Now start page," a feature which recommends songs to users based on their taste, mood, and the time of day.
Finally, Spotify has a new service for runners. Spotify says it's created tracks that adjust and change tempo based on your running pace.
OK, that's what's new. Now let's get to the photos. Here's what the new features look like:
Videos and podcasts
Spotify's doing this with a bunch of new partners, like Comedy Central, Vice, and ESPN.

Smarter playlists
This feature sounds a lot like Songza (a company Google purchased), as we explained here.

Running
As we said earlier today: Spotify cofounder Daniel Ek described this feature as a music format "where the composition itself seems to magically rearrange to fit your current pace." Expect a hands-on from us soon.

When can I try these new features?
If you have an iPhone, you're in luck. Spotify said, "Spotify Running will start rolling out to iPhone users globally today." The "Now experience" (those new playlists) will gradually roll out, Spotify said, "to iPhone users in the U.S., U.K., Germany, and Sweden -- with more markets and platforms to follow in the near future."
This means if you have an Android phone, or use Spotify on the Web or desktop, you can expect some love "in the near future." Until then, you're SOL.
Update 1:51 p.m. PT: Spotify tells us video clips and podcast streams will in fact roll out alongside the "Now experience."
