Today Uber announced a new feature called Scheduled Rides, enabling some users to (yup) schedule an Uber ride between 30 minutes and 30 days in advance.
At first, Uber says business travelers (users who have linked their profile to a business account) will get "priority access" to the feature, which is currently only publicly available in Seattle. We've reached out to Uber for more details on when this "global roll out" will actually go global.
Later, an Uber spokesperson told VentureBeat that "[San Francisco] is a city we're looking to roll out the feature to next."

The announcement today follows Lyft's introduction of a similar feature in May, for San Francisco users. As we've seen time and time again, ride-hailing services often travel in packs.
