If you're seeing a new YouTube video player on your computer today, you're not the only one.

The Google-owned video-streaming platform has officially unveiled the new HTML5 player for everyone, as first spotted by the unofficial Google Operating System blog, four months after the Internet giant first started testing the refresh.

You'll now see a transparent control bar at the bottom of the video that disappears after a few seconds of inactivity.

The "Watch Later" option has also been removed from the control bar, which adds a touch of inconvenience to the experience -- you now have to scroll a little further down, to below the video description, to add it to "Watch Later."

Overall, though, the player does look a little slicker, and the fact that the control bar disappears during play mode should please many.
