Eli Sugarman is a Senior Fellow at Schmidt Futures - a philanthropic initiative founded by Eric and Wendy Schmidt, and concurrently serves as Interim Director of the Hewlett Foundation Cyber Initiative. Previously, he was Vice President of Content (Moderation) at the Meta/Facebook Oversight Board. There, he led the trust and safety teams of an experimental online safety and speech regulator that guides Facebook and Instagram on their most challenging content decisions globally.
